What are the main benefits of the hot pipeline from the Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant to Brno? The heat pipeline will take heat from Dukovany, so it is an environmentally beneficial project. The second important factor is self-sufficiency. Brno uses 80% gas for heat production, but its supply may not be guaranteed due to the geopolitical situation in the world. The heat pipeline will thus ensure a stable and secure supply of heat energy for the inhabitants of Brno and the municipalities in the vicinity of which the heat pipeline will run. "One of the ways to make energy efficient and modern is to build a hot pipeline from the Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant to the South Moravian metropolis. From a technical point of view, the project is very well secured and meets the strictest requirements for its implementation," says Martin Šroubek.
