The district heating system will provide municipalities with a stable, low-emission heat source, enabling long-term budget planning without significant price fluctuations. The cost of heat is a major component of operating expenses for schools, government offices, and other public buildings.
Price stabilization thus means greater financial certainty and room for development investments in infrastructure, education, and social services.
The exact route within the designated corridor will be finalized during the project planning phase. Local municipalities are involved in the process, and we are in ongoing communication with them. Details will be published once they are finally approved as part of the project documentation.
The investor, together with the designer, contacts all relevant authorities, infrastructure managers, and individual municipalities. Communication is conducted systematically and transparently throughout the project preparation phase. The goal is to foster a collaborative partnership and address any comments in a timely manner.
Construction will proceed in a linear fashion and is time-limited. The trench will be approximately 4.5 meters wide and about 2.5 meters deep. Once completed, the site will be restored to its original condition. The project is designed so as not to hinder the long-term development of the municipalities and to allow for their further planned growth.
Communication has been ongoing since the project’s preparatory phase. Teplárny Brno, in cooperation with the project designer, regularly updates the affected municipalities and coordinates the various steps of project preparation with local authorities. The goal is to foster open dialogue, ensure timely information sharing, and coordinate the process so that the project causes as little disruption as possible to the municipalities’ day-to-day operations.
